"The Cosmic Dance Band blends sounds of the Middle East with jazz harmony and modern sonics—this procession of desert-baked rhythms and intoxicating hooks marks Atassi's arrival as a major player."
- Gareth Thompson, All About Jazz
"Rami Atassi sounds like what might happen if you had a left-field mix of psychedelic and jazz artists—Mdou Moctar, Wes Montgomery, Cave, the Natural Information Society—in your blunt rotation."
- Hannah Edgar, Chicago Reader
"For Rami Atassi, sonic inspiration extends far beyond the city’s borders. He has amassed an eclectic range of influences—desert guitar, jazz, Tropicália, samba, Arabic folk music, and Afrobeat—that populate his music."
- Joshua M. Miller, Chicago Magazine
